To: Repeal 16-17

I’m surprised this is even a question right now. I would have figured Girardi’s job was safe even if the Yankees had an abysmal season. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for them, and they have really outperformed their expectations all season long.

I agree with you. The season started off with virtually no expectations for post-season play. The fact that they have done as well as they have is, in large part, due to Joe Girardi’s skills, decisions, and humanity to those players. I would hate to see Joe go, for any reason. It would not be a popular decision for him to be fired, IMHO.

True. Girardi could be with the Yankees for 10+ years. Hal Steinbrenner is not like his father, George “The Boss” Steinbrenner would have fired Girardi by now (1 W.S. championship in 8 years)
