We had a creepy guy working at our courthouse. I said hello one time, and then thought, why did I say hello to him. I didn’t want to know him at all. A few weeks later on Easter sunday he dragged her out of the house, and killed her. A passer by saw him where the body was dumped, and went back to see what he was doing there. The body was found. He was on America’s Most Wanted some months later, and died the night of the airing in a shoot out with police after someone called with a tip. She was a good woman, and school counselor in town. Very sad.
>>Does anyone elses eyes ache after reading that garbled bunch of trash?
Yes. I had to post as soon as I read that the house was “exploded”. I’m pretty sure the correct colloquial English is simply “blown up”. I’ll try to read past the first sentence again, but I don’t think I’ll make it to the end of the story.
Yup, that’s the guy. Still at large, just as I thought.
I lived in Phoenix at the time.
I remember a few weeks after the explosion, they found his car and dog up somewhere near Payson.
All the Phx TV stations sent crews up there, and while all the big, tough SWAT guys were searching, there was a light snow flurry going on, and they were all going-on about how horrible the weather was.
Thought to myself “fat old man like me goes elk hunting in far worse weather than that”.
Made yet another mental note that the SWAT guys aren’t nearly as tough as they’d like you to think.
“Police confirmed Steven Pirus intentionally caused a natural gas leak to explode the house.”
That sentence sounds off. “...caused a natural gas leak to explode the house.” Eh?
Perhaps, “...caused a natural gas leak which resulted in the explosion.
And yes, we DO own a wood chipper.
Do you live in Fargo?! ;-)
I can possibly understand the wife. He crossed the line at the pets.
His use of ‘exploded the house’ was the first thing I noticed too. And he does it several times! Funny thing though, in paragraph six he actually uses the ‘blew up’ term...
