Good idea I guess for myself to have thought doing Equifax credit score checks was a scam and also an awaiting disaster, eh?

With 143 million, i’m going with the wildebeest theory. We all swim the river and the crocs can only get so many.

Part of the problem is that nothing is local any more. I wish it were possible to pull out of all credit agencies, and have all banking, including credit cards and loans, done on the local level. I never gave those agencies permission to obtain, store, and give out that information.

I haven't called them or any of the agencies yet. The thought of giving most of my SSN and other information to the company that probably compromised my information to safeguard me if my information is stolen is just too weird.

When the class action law suit comes out we should participate. Did you sign up for the ID protection plan?

I’m not worried at all.

My information was already hacked from OPM years ago.

If you go to equifaxsecurity2017.com and give them your last name and the last six digits of your SSN, they can tell you if you're affected by the security breach.

Whether you are or not, you can enroll, for free, in a year's worth of identity theft protection.

The likely hood of someone using you if to skate on a crime is laughable. Police will finger print them and compare their face to your state id.

I am more worried about my 815 credit score.

There is no justification for a database containing all the personal information imaginable on a person without his consent and that is used for background checks, job applications, selecting “dating” partners and the purpose that their name implies is their ONLY purpose: credit checks.

They are not f*cking CREDIT BUREAUS, damn it! They are what the government is not permitted to create on us: the ultimate database.

But the government controls them with the result that the credit bureaus are an extension of the government! That is the problem!

What strikes me as extremely peculiar is not the fact all of this information was hacked, but haven’t heard much concern or information about “WHO” hacked it - - -

And these friggin’ gummint donkeys want us to give up using CASH and conduct all our transactions with electronic funds? Say WHAT?!?

I’ll give up using CASH when they agree to pay me $5 million dollars, tax free, per year, for life, (in case of course if I suffer just ONE data breach or identity theft. ONE!
