It’s not a matter of it being better. It’s not better. But it’s more likely. Significantly so.

My complaint is strictly with the title being completely wrong. It might as well have been “Man accidentally runs over daughter”, when the whole story is “man accidentally runs over daughter’s Barbie car. They are two completely different stories.

And not to put to fine a point on it - the only reason I clicked on the link was because I thought a guy had sexually abused his own daughter. That story is so amazingly rare that It was worth opening. “Man sexually abuses 6 year old girl” is too common for me to bother reading it unless it affected someone I know personally.

Maybe by a minute amount. Rape by the actual father is even more psychologically damaging.

I have had to deal with just that for 39 years. It is not fun.
