Since I know nothing about the cult, what makes them so dangerous? Do they treat apostates the same as islam does?

I started watching the show simply because I had heard of this “religion” but didn’t know a great deal about it. WOW! It truly is a cult by every major definition. Leah explains the tactics very well and why she felt obligated to not question anything. I Story after story, interview after interview... and I have no doubt that she has put her life in danger.

Go watch the South Park episode on Scientology!
Not only will you learn all you need to know about it.
You will laugh uproariously while you’re watching.
You will realize a couple of things, the people caught up in this are pathetic & stupid. Then when you reflect how much of Hollywood is caught up in this. It will dawn on you that actors are the stupid’s stupid! They are the bottom threshold of stupid , next step down is a rock.

Tom Cruise is stupid to the googol exponential power!

Last year my niece from Arkansas came out to spend a week with me on our boat in Ventura. She wanted to do the touristy thing and see Hollywood so off we went. Met a friend in Burbank for breakfast first so took the back way into Hollywood and then from there to Griffith Park and the Hollywood sign. On the way we passed by Scientology’s mega church for the stars. She was like....holy cow! They have their own church! She was so astounded I had to laugh. Lol

Just saying that neither woman has had a word to say about it.

Scientology is absurd. I can’t really understand a minimally intelligent adult buying into it.

Tom Cruise has a different deal than the other celebs and members involved. He’s basically treated as the number 2 guy behind the leader David (insert last name). Cruise is practically worshipped by the members, which I would imagine is the appeal for him. He’s not paying the money or suffering under the thumb like other members.

It’s amazing to me that being a movie star didn’t provide enough adulation for him.

I was actually on the grounds of that 'church' in Hollywood. An acquaintance of mine is a Scientologist and was putting on a concert.

I was sitting at a table in the back with some other people who were also attending. But there was this one guy in a suit who just sat at our table. He didn't say a thing. He was obviously a Scientologist assigned to listen in on what we said, maybe to see if we were potential future members or a danger to the newer members.

Creepy.

Tom Cruise is a sick, sick f__ker. He’s all about power and fame - just as much as Miscavige. Their “church” makes them sign legal papers that are iron clad if they publicly go against Scientology or any of their members in any way. Cruise’s ex-wives are hand-cuffed into going public. But Leah Remini is EVERYONE’S HERO!!!

She has exposed this evil cult for the world to see. They cannot stand up to the scrutiny that is exposed on all of her shows. Leah, you are a HERO!!!

At one time Germany defined Scientology as a terrorist group. It was not allowed to operate in the country and Scientologists who tried to enter Germany were ether told no or were strictly controlled. Then came Cruise’s production company wanting to film “Valkyrie “ on location. I remember reading that there was a brief “BruHa” about the law. Something changed I never did hear what. “Valkyrie “ obviously got filmed.

Now look what Germany lets in! Doubt if there is a direct connection but I guess there could be with the loosening of the “anti-Scientology” law.

I’m so proud of the work Leah is doing, and am amazed that she’d get the award considering how many in Hollywood are involved in Scientology. Am also amazed that she hasn’t been whacked by this cult.

I hope she has extra security. The Scientology mafia has far reaching tentacles. They also try to financially destroy people with frivolous lawsuits etc.

Leah’s TV doucumentaries are on cable. If you get a chance check them out, and watch them in order if possible. And, yes, they do treat apostates similar to Islam’s methods but are more subtle.

I’ve never seen this show or documentary. I’d like to. Is it a series or a docu? Can it be found on an on demand channel or Hulu or Netflix?

Thanks.

“Their ‘church’ makes them sign legal papers that are iron clad if they publicly go against Scientology or any of their members in any way.”

She showed a contract they must sign when either joining the cult, or a certain level of it, and the length of time of their commitment is ridiculous — a billion years or something like that. Oh, yeah; that’s sane.

“The Scientology mafia has far reaching tentacles.”

She was scheduled to film one of her episodes at my niece’s church near Clearwater. The threats of the cult’s mafia were so serious and so vile the church had to cancel. And that’s in spite of maximum security by the church’s onsite security PLUS local police scheduled to assist.

They’re not kidding around.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Islam is merely less subtle than Scientology, and slightly less money-oriented.
Also, Scientology is based on a goofy sci-fi narrative, as opposed to a Abrahamic religion.
