OK.
Well, I am getting older.
And as I age, I find that some things simply don't excite me as much as when I was young.
Food. You know, you gotta eat!
Women. Well for most women not as much - but a few women still get my eye!
Politics. You know of course that the whole political theory has been corrupted, governments main job has shifted to whatever it can graciously and with pomposity GIVE to the people...
Anyways I remember when I was younger and actually went to the theater once in a while. And in 1983 I saw one of the most fantastic movies I have ever or will ever see.
Blade Runner.
At first I was in shock, in awe. I couldn't make any sense of it. In a lot of respects, I still don't. But gradually, over the years and seeing a number of versions of the original, it started to have some order to it. Personally, owning Blade Runner - The Final Cut has told me alot about the movie that makes sense. It's a two disc DVD with tons and tons of interviews, alternate endings, etc.
I am sure you have all seen it. A future where dystopia has emerged as the driving force. Cops maintain (well, in their private realms at least) order somewhat.
It STILL shocks me today!
Ridley Scott was a young director and chose (for most of us) almost unheard of people to play the parts, which they did superbly. He was in the middle of a few projects at the time, soon to do Aliens, and it almost seemed like a bit of an effort to fill a void, both in his time and in the movie genre then.
Now, after 30+ years of having Blade Runner under my belt and in my house and in my yard and in my bed I am very, very excited about his new movie.
Blade Runner, the Sequel will be in theaters Oct. 6th
From the look of the trailers and previews, this probably will not surpass the original... but it will be very, very close indeed!
And I am excited!
Attack ships burning off the Tannhauser Gates....
Ace Ventura Pet Detective was still to come.
Got my eye out for the Series
And,of course,
The girl Pictured.
THANKS !
The trailer looked like a social justice warrior film about slaves and a looming battle between humans and replicant/robot workers.
The original sprang from the production team on Jodorowsky’s Dune and European sci-fi comics (like ‘Heavy Metal’).
This doesn’t look like it will deliver the awe of the first one.
Ford is in the sequel and the trailers at least to me hinted that yes after all this speculation he is a replicant. That has been debated for decades since the first film.
But maybe I’m misreading the lines.
This one is different than the last trailer I saw for it

Season 1 and 2 are on DVD & Blu-Ray (I borrowed BR from my local library and they’re also on HULU with subscription)
Not sure about Season 3 availability
Season 4 will be the final in 2018
I did not know that. Thank you!
I’ve never seen the final cut. Don’t even think I saw the original movie all the way through. But I have heard about the sequel and a few weeks ago ordered the final cut of the original from the library, I am only #17 in line. LOL
I noticed
I owned a replica
A chain firing hot piece of Pietta
I will have to say Sean Young was so hot as a Freman in the movie Dune from 1984, another Sci-Fi classic.
I heard they are “Delicately Designed”
Give Me a Dragoon any day!
Well, folks... only five days to go! I’m pretty sure I won’t go see it on Friday or Saturday. Most likely Monday evening.
