I'm already not enthused by the coming of this NFL season, but out of habit I went to turn on the game tonight after 8:30. And all I saw was BS ceremonies.
Good night NFL, and your sponsors.
I'll try again on Sunday afternoon with the guys at my club. If it weren't for them I wouldn't bother watching until the Giants play on Sunday night. (I HATE night games.)

It's been a couple years now, and I don't miss it a bit .. you'll likely have the same result.
I understand. I am so close to totally cutting the NFL cord myself.
Sports, the opiate of the people.
It isn’t even an issue for me anymore, unless I see a thread here.
It doesn’t even cross my mind any longer to watch a pro football game.
They all stood up.
Watching FoxNews. Would actually watch the awful "The Five" over an NFL game in which even one player is allowed to disrespect the country that has given him so much.
The NFL brass better get this crap under control and fast.
Till Clinton carter Obama and the bushes showed up
I stopped watching the NFL after 50 years last season when the league decided they did not want to be the football league of this nation.
The NFL brass had all of last season and did nothing, it is continuing, so they really don’t want to be the football league of this nation.
I love football.
Didn’t watch last year or this year.
It just ruins the whole experience to watch these jerks at the beginning.
No presidential campaign this year to use as an excuse for low ratings.
I gave up the NFL last year when Craponadik started this hateful nonsense. But for years the NFL has been in decline.
The talent level is not what it used to be. Highly skilled players are fewer and fewer. Sure, the players are bigger, maybe faster, but they are out of shape and lazy. Many of the defensive players only play 30 or so plays a game and they can barely take that much activity without cramping up or grabbing the oxygen mask. The fundamentals of blocking and tackling don’t appear to be taught anymore, and the technique of playing the game is lost.
The NFL has further spoiled the game by creating more and more rules that take away from finesse of the game.
Basically the teams stink, the offenses are all similar and predictable, the coaches are weak in handling players, and the product on the field sucks.
Furthermore, the thug and hoodlum culture that has taken over is something I don’t like and I don’t care to support. Essentially, for all I care the NFL can go to hell.
The NFL is cutting its own throat by letting a handful of players do enormous damage to its fan base. They should have nipped this in the bud last year when it became widely noticed.
I'm a Miami Dolphins fan, and if I see a single Dolphin player pull such shenanigans this year, I'm going to switch to the Dallas Cowboys until such time as the Dolphins solve their team discipline problem.
Now I understand why the Dallas Cowboys are truly "America's Team". Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said Cowboy Players Will Stand For The Flag Or Your Ass Will Be Off The Team, and I wholeheartedly agree with him and applaud him for taking such a strong stand—which the precisely the right thing to do.
With more owners like that, instead of cowards like Dolphins owner Steve Ross (and head coach Adam Gase)—who let their players walk all over them—the NFL wouldn't be profusely bleeding patriotic fans left and right...
Instead of tuning into the circus, I was with my 94 year old WWII vet father listening to Sinatra. My dad won’t be watching these dirt balls and their pathetic antics. It was a far more enjoyable evening.
They're too late already.
Make sure you check out what Kid Rock says about the guy's who cannot stand for the Ntl Anthem!
You can do it. It takes 2 weeks detox time, find something else to do. I did it and honestly do not miss it. If you get the urge to watch, just thing about the sissy boy millionaires who can’t stand for the republic you fought for!
NCAA for me!
I was done the first time Kraperdick pulled that stunt last year. Don’t miss it either.
