Mark Levin: "Trump threw wall leverage ‘out the window’ on debt deal" Audio in link
Conservative Review ^ | 9/6/2017 | Nate Madden

Posted on 09/06/2017 5:11:21 PM PDT by TakebackGOP

"Just hours after news broke that President Trump had defied conservatives and Republicans by cutting a stop-gap debt limit and budget deal with Democrat leadership Wednesday, President Trump not only turned his back on the people who elected him, but also gave away his biggest bargaining chips for a wall on the southern border, says Mark Levin." The main criticism of Trump and the wall and DACA starts at 3:40.

“The feeling is COMPLETELY mutual.”

Mutual feelings perhaps, but your feelings are justified; beancounter’s are not.

Levin is a Never-Trumper who changed his spots when his media empire started collapsing. He’s still the same though.

Levin is just PO’d his pet conservatives like Cruz and Lee didn’t have a chance to strut about and virtue signal to no effect. Trump is playing to win. GOP plantation conservatives are playing to further their careers and feather their nests.

A three month spending bill that will backdrop the next spending bill with Christmas and all those lazy government workers going without. Sorry, December is even worse for this type of fight, unless he welcomes the excuse as well as Congress.

It’s a wall. No doubt. When you are negotiating no need to rub it in your opponents face. That’s for AFTER you get the deal.

You can expect this vote every 3 months now that the useless GOPe critters have let it out of the bag how much they hate these votes. If they don’t want to play ball with a POTUS of their own party there is no reason for him to.

Trump won enormous political capital by demonstrating he would abandon the feckless, corrupt and cowardly Republicans to cut a deal with feckless, corrupt and cowardly Democrats.

He is now the only broker in DC that counts. The entire deck has been shuffled.

In this moment American politics changed.

GOPe is insignificantly less left than the Democrats. In my book, if Trump can gain negotiating leverage with both by playing then against each other, than it’s a win for MAGA.

Mark Levin continues to make himself an idiot, irrelevant and a complete jackass, not necessarily in that order.

I am as concerned about the national deficit as anyone, but I think Trump made the right humanitarian and political decision. One red state has been damaged and another is about to be. It would be bad to play politics as usual while thousands of people are in dire straits. Politics is messy - damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Just do the right thing and to hell with the critics.

“Does anyone believe that in return for a raise in the debt ceiling, that Ryan and McConnell would have funded the wall?
They have obstructed every Trump goal with a single minded obsession. The only answer is to marginalize them and hurt their goals”.

It really is the only answer. Ryan and McConnell are as bad as Schumer and Pelosi and in some ways worse.

Holding up hurricane relief is just stupid especially when the places being hit are red states.

So much for (C)\’small govt’...NOTE: Don’t care if it’s red, blue or polka-dot, it’s not govt $$$ to ‘give’.

DJ wrote a $1M check, let the other 535 do the same.

Don’t go picking MY pocket, piss on my leg and call it ‘charity’. Plenty are giving of their OWN free will. THAT is charity.
