It wasn’t actually stated in the story but I’m guessing that he wasn’t supposed to be there. Uh, how long do you think it takes to unload a refrigerator from a truck? Can one man do it? I think that might mean automatic proof it was a conspiracy to commit murder, or at least conspiracy after the fact.
