The girl had left her family to work in the home of a friend, Mina Kumari, also in Maungdaw Township, six months earlier.
Through an interpreter, Muni told The Irrawaddy on Sunday a statement that was echoed by other relatives and a Hindu community leader in Bangladeshthat she had heard her parents, grandmother, newborn brother, sisters and brothers-in-law had been killed.
One of her elder sisters is among eight women who said they were initially abducted by militants from the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), but now sheltering at a relief camp in Bangladeshs Kutupalong District. Following ARSA attacks on 30 police outposts on Aug. 25, the Myanmar government declared the group a terrorist organization.
According to aid workers, Bangladesh is also now hosting some 87,000 self-identifying Rohingya Muslim refugees who have fled northern Rakhine State since the Myanmar Army began renewed clearance operations in Maungdaw following the ARSA attacks.
They join hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees already in the region, displaced after an earlier round of attacks in 2016.
Know Islam, No Peace
No Islam, Know Peace
No problem. Just part of their cultural heritage. Move along.
Islam, it’s like a little slice of Hell...
No peace. Just pieces, as in pieces of human beings hacked up if they disagree with the religion of “peace”.
How many lone wolves participated in this display of cultural differences?
Back in the ‘good old days’, muslims had wiped out 90% of the hindu population. It might have be the most evil ‘holy war’ in world history, and it never ended.
Hindus tolerate a large muslim and Christian population. That speaks well of them, unlike many Islamic nations.
The BBC published two stories related to the Muslims in Myanmar yesterday.
A UN official is calling on the country’s unofficial leader to intervene on behalf of the Muslims who were said to be under attack from Buddhist mobs and the army.
Also, they put out a story that a ‘migrant rescue ship’ was moving from the Mediterranean to the seas off Myanmar to rescue Muslims.
BBC is on the side of Islam . BBC is also on the side of North Korea
“clearance operations”
Wow, there’s a nice politically correct term for “exterminating terrorists”.
Dog bites man
Why is this even news?
The only decent islam is a destroyed islam.
The Ring of Fire - where ever Islam meets real civilization.
News services can use boilerplate for headlines.
(Geographical Location): Muslims murder (Pick a number from 1 to 3000) (Choose a religion other than Islam, or an ethnicity) (add an "s" if previously supplied number>1)
Myanmar Shave just doesn’t have that classic ring to it.
At least in Burma they fight back. If this crap happened in New Jersey would get a half dozen arrests and a whole lot of hand wringing about a “backlash” which is what self defense against Jihadis is called.
Now more and more such crimes are protected by law and not prosecuted or even taken notice of. Without total suppression of the people that will bring back justice as a responsibility of the victims i.e. revenge. Civilization is backpedaling.
They are not exterminating them. Were they intent on that the border with Bangla Desh would be closed and the Rohingyas not allowed to escape. Many of the Rohingyas originated across that border anyway and have been migrating into Burma in part due to extreme poverty in Bangla Desh. They are also using the Koranic mandate to do hijrah- to migrate and to Islamize new lands and populations. I respect the Burmese for actually defending themselves and for being pro-active. The major personality in the resistance calling for suppression of the Mohammedans is a Buddhist “abbot.” That in itself is surprising. He has organized a militia for the purpose of pre-emptive defense and retaliation.
Religion of pieces.
Wow, if only those poor refugees could find respite in an enlightened western country...
