Albion, I like you and mean no disrespect; but has it struck you that All we know about the marriage is Her side of the story, from tell-alls and gossip; and that an anti-Royalist faction has certainly taken its share of glee in promoting that story and making ‘hay’ out of it?
I think it’s a mark of decency that the Prince *hasnt* gone out and worn it on his sleeve in an undignified way and hes probably chosen that course out of respect. Words are cheap, and are especially perceived that way coming from public figures. It’s much more useful to atone by changing, and living a good life.
He doesn’t need our advice he has plenty of advisors who know much more about the sentiments of his people than we do.
(And I think that once we realized that there were a couple of Brits one in particular on this thread, it seemed rude and inhospitable to me to keep on with all of this criticism and ridicule.)

Following up on this post, you are assuming a lot about me without knowing me. What makes you think I know nothing but her side, or that I’m in no position to know? You have a cystal ball? You work for NSA? Do you know what my name “Albion” means?
Like I said earlier on the bat thread, this is a friendly debate to me. But make sure you are aware what you are just taking for granted that you know, because you may not know at all. FReepers are a pretty intense group of thinkers, researchers, readers, historians, techies, all kinds of stuff.
