Carson Wentz is in love. He wants to tell the world. But sometimes he cant.
If his significant other were named Sue or Jane, no one would mind. But Wentz is in love with Jesus, and while many share his devotion, he understands that just as many may not.
As a Christian, Wentz believes that he has an obligation to use his platform as an NFL quarterback to be a disciple and spread Gods word. But some Eagles fans and even some of his teammates might not want to hear it from their quarterback.
Youre always walking that fine line, without a doubt, Wentz said recently. I always tell people, for example, If you love your job, you love your wife, you love what you do, youre going to talk about it. Well, I love Jesus. Thats what I love, so Im going to talk about it. But Im not going to force it down your throat either.
Wentz, who begins his second season on Sunday when the Eagles open the season at the Redskins, doesnt come off as preachy. He said he doesnt want to beat people over the head with the Bible. But he is outspoken about his belief.

Fire Wentz and hire Kaepernick! (/s)
Enough with the attention given to miscreants like Colin Kaepernick and Elliott Ezekiel.
In response to those who argue that any and all talk of Jesus has no place in the public square, I developed a YouTube playlist: “Jesus: Bigger Than the Beatles” or “Pop Go Songs of Faith 1963-2017.” In other words, “Screw ‘Em!”

I think he needs to keep witnessing. He knows Whose he is. Life on this earth is but for a little while and then eternity. I would put Jesus over the NFL. Think about it. It says in the last days there would be persecution. Christians in the USA are not exempt.
Wentz will end up like Kaepernick. He was an outspoken devout Christisn5, which is why York could get the media to dump on him.
The comments at the end of the article on Philly.com are disturbing. Most of them are anti-Christian, snarky, and hateful. Fans and the media had no problem 20+ years ago when Reggie White was leading prayer circles in the end zone at the end of a game.
They couldn’t beat on Reggie White because he was black and that would make the accusers look racist but they did tune out Rev. White when he began to preach against homosexuality.
If you’re a white Christian, the media will drop the kid gloves fast.
Reggie White spoke out against poe leece.
