Swift’s dilemma reminds me of the prison scene in the movie `American History X’ where Edward Norton’s neo-Nazi character becomes disillusioned with the whole “Heil myself” life-style, partly from working with a black guy and also seeing a fellow Aryan Brotherhood inmate selling drugs.
So he fails to return a Hitler salute and winds up getting gang raped by his pals.
