Two armed men held up a Woodlawn bar Tuesday evening where a group of Baltimore County police officers had gathered for a retirement party, the department said.
As officers were celebrating a longtime sergeants retirement in the main room of Monaghan's Pub on Gwynn Oak Avenue, two masked men approached the carryout counter nearby around 5:30 p.m., police said. Monaghan's owner Jack Milani said the men demanded cash from the register and then took off.
Some of the off-duty officers attending the retirement party gave chase and arrested the two men nearby, the department said.
Police charged Joseph McInnis III, 21, of the first block of Inwood Ave., and Tyree McCoy, 22, of the 3500 block of Cedar Drive, with armed robbery, theft and related offenses, department spokesman Cpl. Shawn Vinson said. Neither had an attorney listed in online court records.

A young Scot and Irish lad
I think he must have “tripped” as he left! Such a shame!
With those ears, I’d have to believe his mother was a “loving cup!”
It's just like that "Someone Picked the Wrong Diner" Glock ad with Lee Ermey. Life imitates art.
Woodlawn used to be a nice place - Gwyn Oak Park, the amusement park, the Dixie Ballroom (last there for a New Year’s dance, 197o or 71).
Well, that’s Baltimore for you. Stupids are as Stupids do, in a city run by Stupids with a stupid mayor, Police Chief, DA, and City Council (Oh, one of the previous mayors is in jail right now).
Not like the good old days when most of the city was safe and the courts backed the police, not the criminals.
Stupid, stupid, stupid......
*Appears*?
Journalists are such idiots.
The facts are there for all to see. Just state them.
Great; we’ll enter that in the official report!
Re: NYPD party for retiring police officer
Ty-Ree himself was very nearly ‘retired’
