Yeah, the original Night Stalker had the benefit of some good writers and directors, and Darren McGavin was perfect for the role. They really knew how to work it given they had some of the cheesiest special effects on television at the time, and had to stick with that monster-of-the-week format. How could you not like Tony Vincenzo, Ron ‘Uptight’, and Miss Emily? Yes, I’m old enough to remember it on rabbit-ear TV from back then, but it’s still great late night Internet fare. They really screwed the pooch with that remake a few years back. They could have had a gold mine with that if they knew what they were doing.

Agreed...LOVED THAT SHOW. They don’t make em like that anymore.

In that episode, Anderson played an immortal who required human sacrifices to maintain his life force.

Sure, the show was cheezy and cheap but it had a certain flair to it. Cult classic material.

My favorite episode was about a Native American Shaman-spirit (Diablero) played by Richard Kiel (”Bad Medicine”)

2nd favorie episode was about a Hindu shape-shifter (Rakshasa) titled “Horro in the Heights”.

Episode list of the Night Stalker (can be acquired on DVD, Blueray...used to be NetFlix but not anymore)
