For those of us who have received Jesus Christ, the first death is passed

we are buried with him by baptism into death...our old man is crucified with him

Rom 6:4, 6.

and we are resurrected with him.

he raised us from the dead along with Christ

Eph 2:6 (NIV)

Therefore, the second death has no power over us

This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power

Rev 20:5-6.

if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away...

there [is] no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither [is] there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
