Sorry.

I’d not trust my dogs with any of them, ever.

They showed pics of flooding in the church.

The mosques get government money to help with emergencies like this, the churches do not, since that would violate separation of religion and government.

...I have no idea if that’s true, but it probably is, given what our society has become.

Churches absolutely can receive government aid for providing community services. So much so that it has become rife with scams.

I could hardly blame Osteen for not taking in people given the condition that the Katrina refugees left their stadium. Between putting in twice as many people as it would hold, vandalism and mindful destruction (especially against a Christian establishment), and the right of people to sue the church if they are injured there, why help?

Maybe the explosives stored in the mosque basements have been ruined by the flooding.

If Muslims behaved in a more Christian way than Christians in this situation, it should put all the churches in Greater Houston to shame.

Yes, I heard a while ago that a lower level had gotten water in it, but the main part of the facility is elevated and did not get water in it.

That IS the lie being pushed by the democrat-socials-communist news media. But it IS still a lie, based on exaggeration, by NOT terlling the whole story about the nearby flooding. Just like Jacksonville’s “black neighborhood polls were closed by a police checkpoint” back in 2000 election .... When the drunk stop was on a highway nearby (outside) the neighborhood polling place in question.

The media is doing this to create the impression YOU are exhibiting. Houston area has over 6.5 million people.
Three - ONLY THREE - Muslim centers are open and accepting people.
ONE Christian church - a Trump supporter - is propagandized - closed before the rains to prepare for flooding, then after being isolated by the flooding - for not taking in people

These shelters are designated. He was not on the list.

And my first concern would be with the water that I did have in the building. I heard there were three people wanting shelter at first.

I believe in the end, it was used as a facility for goods.

1. The church was waiting to be designated as a shelter.

2. There are no showers and there is no kitchen.

They certainly DO have a kitchen. Lakewood Church is in the former sports area known as 'The Summit'.

They sell concessions during services. Osteen rakes in millions from it.

Somehow, you seem to think that I am finding fault with Osteen or his church. I am not. I am sure they had valid reasons for not opening up the church at the start, and I am not one of the people who were tweeting ugly things to Osteen when he asked people to pray for the victims of the flood.

So, if you have further comments to this thread, I hope you will direct them to the original post rather than to me.
