Saw news articles that some million-dollar bets have been placed in the last few days on Mayweather.
Is the fight fixed? Who places bets that size on a fight that isn’t fixed?

Who places bets that size on a fight that isnt fixed? Someone for whom a million dollars is small change.

Yes it’s fixed. It’s fixed by one of the competitors being one of best pound for pound (defensive) boxers in history being up against what amounts to an amateur boxer. The whole fight is a farce and a circus.

Who places bets that size on a fight that isnt fixed? The people who know boxing know that Mayweather will win a boxing match with a non-pro boxer. Rubes have been heavily betting McGregor because of the payout, but it has driven down the odds, so the smart money waited late to get the best return. Still have to bet a lot to win a little putting it on Mayweather.

For what it’s worth, and it may not be much, I don’t think the fight will be “fixed.”
