I just checked two weather stations currently in the eye. Neither of them got above 90 mph when the eyewall passed. They did get some gusts over 100, though.
I have been in 70 mph sustained wind. Check out close to the end of jeffs first periscope and tell me that is between 90 and a 100. No friggin way. Steel I beams buckling. Roofs flying off that are anchored into brick columns via i beams. That was a hell of a lot more than a 90 to a hundred mile an hour eye wall.
