These are four of the most sophisticated, expense surface combatants the Navy has. There may be a problem connecting all of them, but you can be sure social engineering will never be identified as a possible common thread.

Was the ship warned of possible ships turning into them along standard routes?
Is it possible civilian ships are trying to cause collisions?
Has the fleet leadership alerted ships to this condition?
Yes, fire the Admiral, get attention to this issue.

I was going to complain that a review going back a decade was too broad, given the number of incidents this year. But then I realized that span reaches back to the end of the Bush administration and covers the entire Øbama administration. We'll need a freighter full of popcorn when the report comes out! Working title: What Øbama did to the Navy.
