I see teammates trying to help someone push themselves further than they think they can.
Sometimes that is necessary.
You can hear the voices, reassuring her, ect. This was not done to be mean.
Fire the coach and suspend each student involved. Dissolve the cheerleading squad for two years.

You are never to force that!
it never occurred to the girl to get up and leave if she feels abused, or the exercise has gone too far
Being able to do the splits is part of the gig. But if the new girl or guy is not already able to do them they have to work at it a while and loosen up. You can’t just force them in to position.
That video was hard to watch - akin to someone being tortured.
All the while, coach Ozell Williams is shown holding down each girl’s shoulders, and pushing them down further.
It was the coach and 2 others holding down one of the girls. The girl being tortured (that's what it was) is white, and the three torturing her are black.
And they are laughing hysterically at her pain and agony.
I am sure they are just teaching her to "Check her Privilege."
I could NOT finish watching this. Torture. That’s what they were doing to this girl. I hope the family sues all of them. And I think it was done on purpose to hurt her.

I don’t know about this. The girl obviously wants to be a cheerleader. This is cheerleader TRAINING. Cheerleaders need to be able to do the splits. Part of training is physical training...the ability to perform physical tasks which often means pain. They weren’t being mean about it...they were teaching her that the pain was temporary and that she could do it.
