Here's a different kind of question I've often had about large scale tragedies like natural disasters, diseases & gun violence:
We get so caught up in the emotion of the violence that we don't consider the long-term, historical consequences. To put it bluntly: the planet is overpopulated already. Maybe we shouldn't try to cure every disease, we shouldn't confiscate all the harmful drugs, etc.
Perhaps we'd be happier if we made peace with the fact that rabid animals are going to dwindle the herd from time to time (as they have in much greater volume throughout history) & that's not really a bad thing in the long run.
Should we try to stop as many large scale attacks as possible? Of course... but I don't think the zeitgeist should have an aneurysm every time one occurs either.
I think we be served to draw some historical perspective on how difficult the human condition has always been & how that is something of a blessing in disguise.
Take for instance how valuable the conquerors throughout history, as bloody & awful as they were during their reigns, have been to population control.
We think the planet is overpopulated now: the environment sick, the resources dwindling; where in the world [would] we be without Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Julius Caesar or for that matter the bubonic plague, cancer & AIDS?
Here's an article on the beneficial impact Genghis Khan's conquests had on the environment & sustainability, for example.
There are already 7.125 BILLION people on Planet Earth.
Try to extrapolate out how many people would be here now if EVERYONE had survived & had kids, which seems to be the ultimate aim of modern society... a right if you will... to defy the boundaries of nature.
It'd be one hell of a dystopian nightmare that's for sure.
Without a doubt.
Just recall how in Ferguson there were folks bused in from Revcom. A Chicago based Communist organization. They had folks leading their marches of useful idiots that where attempting to get the police to attack them.
Agitate the police into reacting so they could claim victim status that would be played up in the media.
Now, they found a target to attack, Neo-nazi’s, and their media cohorts are predictably painting virtually anyone that isn’t one of them as a racist etc...
This isn’t good.
Conservatives ability to unwind the current media narrative will be impossible.
Republicans are running scared and are fearful of the media.
If we go on the defensive we will be virtually admitting our positions are wrong. If we go on the offensive?, We will need to have the Balls to face an onslaught of attacks.
This is not good.
When by their actions a group shows that they are as dumb as buffalos, nobody should be surprised when they are stampeded over a cliff by those more clever than them.
C-ville was a planned and organized buffalo jump where a lot of dumb buffalos were played like fiddles by the enemies of freedom. In my opinion, most of the leaders were probably agents provocateurs, recruiting and herding dumb buffalos to a corral next to a cliff. And the eager buffalos followed their Judas goat leaders like dumb beasts. At the pre-arranged hour, they were stampeded over the cliff.
Why was this a surprise to anybody with a three-digit IQ? Every event of the day, including the vehicular homicide and the MSM reaction, was foreseeable weeks in advance.
I am reminded of Tommy Robinsons excellent autobiography Enemy of the State, where he is again thrown in prison on trumped up charges, and the Men in Black (Metro Intel Bureau) visit him and make him an offer. They will clear his legal path if he agrees to again lead the EDL, but under their direction. He honorably refused, and took his legal lumps, and later wrote about their dishonorable blackmail offer.
At this point I assume that any and all leaders of the C-ville alt-right fiasco are either:
1. Morons barely smarter than the buffalos they herded over the clearly visible cliff.
2. Self-aggrandizing publicity hounds who would feed any cause into a meat grinder for more personal national media exposure.
3. Dishonorable liars who have made special arrangements with the feds to help stampede the dumb buffalos they purport to care about over the cliff.
4. Clever Leftist agents provocateurs who passed themselves off to the dumb buffalos as converts to the alt-right with little or no vetting.
Be the Indian, not the buffalo.
I’m sorry to be so negative.
But, there’s going to be a War.
The cards have been dealt and it’s just a matter of time before they are all played.

That isn't him in that photo. And it's "Occupy Wall Street". Unless that was a play on words to describe them as the communist revolutionaries that they are.
...and yet the picture from the OWS garbage dump that accompanies that article matches his picture picture here

No, it was an error on my part....but thanks for giving me the cover.
Check out article and all comments.
Thanks, ETL. Excellent research, as always.
Thanks......very relevant.
First of all, the Kessler who wrote for CNN, whether he is the same Jason Kessler or not, was there covering the event as a reporter, not as a participant.
"Unite The Right" organizer, Jason Kessler
6 years and a couple of pounds...yes.
A left wing “reporter” making himself the centerpiece is NOT unheard of. Remember the “reporter” who got “mugged” by Trump during the campaign?
Sorry, can’t agree with you that the two photos are of the same guy.
Not by Trump, but by the staffer.
Then again, he (the CNN Jason Kessler) may indeed have been there as both a reporter and a participant. But I seriously doubt that that photo is of him (the CNN reporter).
Whether or not he is the same Jason Kessler as the Unite The Right guy I still do not know, and is another issue.
However, both were involved with Occupy Wall Street, though. Both were/are journalists whose works appeared in liberal publications. The UTR Kessler, according to the website LinkedIn, says he’s had articles that ran in the Washington Post and a few other such liberal media outlets.
I’m not trying to fight with you. We just differ on this.
I understand. I just don’t want to go out on a limb and say the CNN guy is, positively, the same guy as the UTR guy.
In any case, what is a bit strange here is how difficult it is to find any info on the CNN Jason Kessler. And I’m usually pretty good at finding stuff.
I lost my photobucket acct so I can’t post pictures, but if you’re interested, here’s another recent view of Kessler.
