But yes, more generally, they are at risk of serious overreach here. How much uglier, less uplifting, and more degrading will our public spaces be without any historical monuments—which is where we seem to be headed.

As occupied territory, Metro Atlanta doesn’t count as the real South. There are millions of Southerners who are passionate about this issue.
If your talking just MA then I agree, but most of the guys around here are from farther out. A few def are... but I havent really heard any of them complaining about it... I work around hundreds of them... I think they simply have far more important things to worry about... day to day life... jobs etc... Not saying they hate their heritage... its just not that important to them... other parts of the South may be different..

When the “Cook Political Report”. a left-wing, Democrat rag, moves five senate seats from “Leaning Democrat to Toss Up Status” something is afoot. By the time the 2018 Mid-Terms come around, the Hateful, Useless, Democrats will be so depressed.....many will just stay home, grin and bear the massive defeat they will suffer. I pray you’re correct. The fraud has been rampant all across the country. My larger concern is how gullible the country is as a whole. FR is not representative of a fraction of the population and too many believe truth and logic will win out. The vast majority of people have no information beyond the MSM, and that is how the Establishment wants it to remain.

That's an echo of the "When they came for the Socialists . . ." thingy. The Antifa mindset will not stop at the Confederacy, as recent events have shown. They will go on to other parts of our history, no doubt down to chiseling names/mottoes off of public buildings.
