That’s rich. Slavery was uniquely American. Tell that to the ancient Jews in Egypt or the Ancient Romans. Slavery has been around as long as man has been around. It is evil, but it is nothing new.

I hate racism. The vast majority of Americans share this view - I'm certain. I'm tired of whites being accused of being racist - as a group. It's a form of reverse racism to do this, and prejudges individuals based upon their skin color.
Regarding slavery, the population of the US in 1865 was ~35.2 million - according to the census at that time. The population of the US today is ~325 million. At least half of that population (probably more) has no ancestors that lived in the US prior to the end of slavery - yet people use the argument that Krauthammer did - pinning the responsibility for slavery on all American whites, like some form of original sin. I don't accept this. I have plenty of sin to be sorry for, but not slavery.
Further, slavery continues in the world in many different forms, but it isn't called out by the left, because it doesn't fit their narrative. Slavery includes the suppression of personal freedom and being forced to live under circumstances that you do not want to live in - with no ability to choose differently. Totalitarian communist countries, like Cuba and Venezuela fit this definition - but the left loves them. China tells people how many children they can have, and forces abortion if you stray from this. Many Islamic nations suppress the rights of women, and It can be argued that many of these women are actually enslaved. The left doesn't care. It doesn't fit their narrative.
False moral outrage, such as that we've seen so much of over the past few days, is exactly that - false, and it needs to be continuously called out as such.
