"The Big Broadcast" Live Sunday 8/13 7-11pm est

Friends it's Sunday night again and time to relax. Warm up the tubes for another 4 hours of classic radio Americana.

Rain and cool temps? Got a spare room? LOL! We've been in a pattern where we just see one wave of hit-and-miss rain bands after another. The temps are only in the upper 80's but it's like a steam bath. I leave from work, hit Walmart and maybe the convenience store, get home and unload, and by the time I'm done I have sweat trickling down my skull and neck. Just can't put the exertion in like I was able to right now. We had a piece of gable trim come loose last week, and our son-in-law had to fix it because while I can go up a ladder, coming down would require the local volunteer fire department. It's so frustrating because that's always been my job to fix, and I'd always tackle it aggressively. Now I feel like I'm a bystander in my own world. And, Connie's having a reaction to her MS med. Now she has to see another damn neurologist and get switched to another med, and the insurance company and pharmaceutical company will play another round of pattycakes while the plaque on her brain keeps getting worse.

On the bright side, I finally finished building the AR-15 of my dreams! LOL

Thanks, Gina. One good thing is, my diet is going well. Lost almost 20 pounds in two months. I think I’ve eaten more plant life in the last 60 days than I did in the previous six months. LOL She doesn’t adhere to it as much as I do, but she’s lost about five pounds, herself. I like it when I put on my pants and they almost hang off of me now. As soon as this weather breaks and I can get some fishing and yardwork in, that’ll accelerate. I am so looking forward to fall and cooler temps this year.
