The Munsters was a product of the classic movie monster revival of the 60s. IOW it was a show that hit a fad at the right time along with the Addams Family.

But hey, just crap on the legacy of another TV classic because you have no ideas left.

The Addams Family movie in the early 90s was actually really good. Thankfully it was at a time when people put some heart and respect into a remake.

All the real creative talent is now working on projects for Netflix and the other up-and-coming streamers. Traditional TV networks are getting the dregs of the talent pool. This is just another proof point. Re-run TV has become re-boot TV. They’re just flat out of ideas.
