Accused Burglar Doesn't Flush Toilet, Leaves DNA for Police

A man accused of burglarizing a Southern California home took a bathroom break and left DNA evidence in the toilet that led to his arrest, an investigator said Tuesday.

The suspect "did his business and didn't flush it" during the October break-in in the city of Thousand Oaks, said Detective Tim Lohman of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

That allowed investigators to collect evidence to conduct a DNA profile. It matched another profile in a national database and detectives tracked down the suspect at his home in the nearby city of Ventura.

Did they analyze the bean and rice content?

Doubt it was tofu and bean sprouts.

People who commit felonies in California must submit a DNA sample for the 'records.' There's a growing data base of DNA in California.

I read about an unknown rapist who was identified by his brothers DNA being in the data base.

Don’t you hate it when you are in the middle of robbing a house & you have to take a dump? It really pisses me off.

If only he had remembered that important rule of thumb “If it’s Brown, flush it down!”

People who commit felonies in California

No, you just have to be arrested for a felony.

It’s what I asked myself when the morons re-elected the piece of c_ap after all the damage he has done to California over the decades.

All the perp needs is the right lawyer. “If the evidence is s**t, you must acquit.” Sure ticket to jury nullification in some communities.

This is certainly an intriguing story. Just for imagination’s sake what if...the ‘robber’ had bagged this substance (retrieved from ‘where ever’ and dropped it in the bowl for authorities to find and analyze. Not, his, but belonging to one he considers to be an enemy or unfriendly toward him. Or a stranger’s? It’s been known to happen with dog/man/front porch. A new angle on the citizen planting evidence. Apparently, with sh*t for brains, the criminal just lost most of his.

He probably figured the cops won’t come out for a simple burglary. They don’t in Bakersfield. If you call they tell you to fill out a report online. The reports are for the insurance company. Nothing else.
