I don’t think he shops at a department store.

Well, the statement was made by the UK boss of L'Oreal, so I'm thinking he's referring to the UK people formally known as men. Ok, then ... the woosification of the world continues ...

He’s actually quite the little shopaholic.
If he’s not playing golf before his shows, he’s hanging out in the local mall, shopping.
Big fan of Hot Topic and his album credits usually list several makeup companies.

Right... like the male skincare items which keep ending up in the discount store only to be bought by bargain shopping women.

I see this sort of announcement from time to time. It never happens. So far not enough men buy makeup. Except for trannies, who I do see foccasionally, I’ve never seen a man wear makeup in public.

Sephora already has a men’s section.

Re sephoras men’s section: I wonder
How long have they had it? And
Is it basically aftershave and skin care, hair products, cologne ...or actual makeup?

It’s in the NYC stores. I’ll have to take a look at it and see before I answer your question. Next time I go in.
I’ve never seen a man in there, but I’m sure some must buy stuff sometimes otherwise they would get rid of the section.

This reminds me of an SNL “Mabeline for Men” parody commercial from a few years back.
