Oh, is that ever the truth! The nearest Walmart is in a town of 6000 or so 22 miles away in the next county, so there aren’t as many of the yoga pants clad hippos as in the city Walmarts-but I leave the heat at home if I’m going there. T5’sguy packs whether at work or not-but even he leaves his pistol locked in the truck if we goes in there-no sense tempting fate...
Good plan, LOL!
Absolutely.
I was in a restaurant once and this male waiter walked up and was covered in tats and had piercings in his ears, eyelids and nose. I nearly threw up...got up from the table and walked my ass out!
Armed forces tattoos almost always are accompanied with a bar story. Falls under the “seemed like a good idea at the time” category ;-)
Prison ink is the worst example of self branding. In Japan the only ones tattooed used to be members of the Yakuza. Normal Japanese were mystified by tattooed Americans.
A friend of mine on seeing a tattoo on an otherwise attractive woman moved on saying “Tramp Stamp”. The thought stayed with me. I must say I have never seen a tattoo on a woman and thought “how attractive “.
Most times I just pity her...
Good call. Great Buffett tune.
Lydia oh Lydia that encyclopedia
Lydia the queen of tattoooo ...
LOL. I expect they are more like harpy’s claws!
Soft delicate hands were only a long ago indicator of the social class that a women may be part of. And they never revealed what was in a woman’s heart.
Why handicap and brand yourself in such a way?
What would he have done had he not "moved on"?
That’s where she got all her celebrity orphan babies?
22 years in uniform but I don’t have any tattoos. I’ve been drunk enough, even to the point of not remembering the night before (I am ashamed of that but grateful I survived), but never drunk enough to get a tattoo.
Why?
I was afraid of needles and the pain. No kidding.
Is that the skank that has what looks like the newspaper classified section on her back?
I have had young female employees get tattoos and then try and hit me and others up for Christmas $ for their kids. Not happening. Tattoos are nasty and take away from a woman’s natural beauty. Many employers I know will trash applications of anyone with a tattoo as soon as they walk out the door. They don’t want that image. I have advised many employees if you’re hell bent on destroying your body put those tattoos in strategic locations so they can be covered if need be for employment purposes.
They are trashy and low class and show the devolution of American culture.
Glad you asked.
I used to play in a lot of bands in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.
Some of the bands I worked for or played with had members that were tattooed from head to toe.
In those days it meant you stood askance from society and were committed to the music.
We also had “good” tattoos, meaning that the people we let put ink on us were actually talented, not schmoes.
I only have a couple and they are not visible when I have on regular clothes, way too busy working to spend a lot of time in tattoo shops.
Now if I had any idea that every Tom, Dick, and Mary would be walking around with BAD tattoos in 2017, I would have never got any in the first place.
Went to Disney last year, looked like I was at a shitty tattoo convention.
My tattoos reflect my misanthropic nihilistic rage , don’t mind wearing that brand.
Remember the Chinese character tattoo fad a few years ago? Turns out that when translated many of them were nonsense, printed backwards, or insults.
Just looks like nasty varicose veins.
I am with you. None of my Tattoos show unless I want them to. One is my tag line on my back. Oh well, guess I’m a looser as well.
Fact is, you immediately limit your career opportunities when you decide to get tattooed in visible body areas. If you already have it made in the entertainment industries, all the power to you. You can say "FU" to the world and live as a rebel. But there are too many poor schmucks who emulate those who have made it but never made it themselves. And not probably never will.
