Really no good reason to get a tattoo. It does not improve how you look and likely it will affect your upward mobility in the workplace. There are many corporations that will not hire or promote somebody with visible tattoos as they are automatically assumed to be of a lower socioeconomic order.

Why handicap and brand yourself in such a way?

Glad you asked.

I used to play in a lot of bands in the mid 80’s to mid 90’s.

Some of the bands I worked for or played with had members that were tattooed from head to toe.

In those days it meant you stood askance from society and were committed to the music.

We also had “good” tattoos, meaning that the people we let put ink on us were actually talented, not schmoes.

I only have a couple and they are not visible when I have on regular clothes, way too busy working to spend a lot of time in tattoo shops.

Now if I had any idea that every Tom, Dick, and Mary would be walking around with BAD tattoos in 2017, I would have never got any in the first place.

Went to Disney last year, looked like I was at a shitty tattoo convention.

My tattoos reflect my misanthropic nihilistic rage , don’t mind wearing that brand.
