After spending 72 hours looking specifically at the motives of those pushing almost identical paragraphs including the catchphrases: holdovers, purging loyalists, unfettered access and Caroline Glick; it comes as no surprise to hear the administration perceives the anti-McMasters crowd as having jumped the shark reached too far, and exposed their agenda etc.
Ironically HR McMaster appears to be safer than ever in his position as National Security Adviser not specifically because of anything he has done, but as an actual outcome of the piranha approach taken by his detractors. The severity of his oppositions group-think actually exposed the common denominator.
General McMaster and I are working very well together. He is a good man and very proIsrael. I am grateful for the work he continues to do serving our country.
~ President Donald Trump, August 4th, 2017
R McMaster might not get the Afghanistan policy outcome he prefers, but his position as NSA appears safe; and we wont have to go to war against Iran to appease his opposition. This looks like a genuine win/win/win. Bannon wins on Afghanistan policy; McMaster wins on Iran policy; America-First wins because were not going into another war in either Iran or North Korea. Perfect.
WASHINGTON [ ] John Kelly, Trumps new chief of staff, has told McMaster he supports him remaining as national security adviser, Politico reported, citing two unnamed senior White House aides.
After Kelly started Monday, McMaster ousted Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence programs at the National Security Council, and the latest ally of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to be dismissed from the White House. (read more)
Also, the President weighed in directly in response to an inquiry from the New York Times:
President Trump defended Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, his embattled national security adviser, on Friday in the face of a full-bore campaign by the nationalist wing of his political coalition accusing him of undermining the presidents agenda and calling for his dismissal.
General McMaster has angered the political right by pushing out several conservatives on the national security staff and cautioning against ripping up the nuclear agreement with Iran negotiated by President Barack Obama without a strategy for what comes next. His future has been in doubt amid speculation that Mr. Trump might send him to Afghanistan.
But after two days of unrelenting attacks on General McMaster by conservative activists and news sites, complete with the Twitter hashtag #FireMcMaster, the president weighed in to quash such talk. General McMaster and I are working very well together, he said in a statement emailed to The New York Times. He is a good man and very proIsrael. I am grateful for the work he continues to do serving our country.
A senior White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe the presidents views, added that Mr. Trump has total confidence in his national security adviser. (read more)
nevermind I’ve been linked to the story. Either way the foreign trip was a success overall.
The trip to Poland where Trump gave what I believe is the speech of his presidency had Bannon/Stephen Miller written all over it.
I think the McMaster/Bannon camps balance each other out well — it’s a shame if getting along is impossible.
As I constantly refer to in other posts, my belief in the need for “balance” has to do with the time I spent studying and living in Russia. The Putin government is one we must both work with AND resist...I want people around Trump who understand how bad Putin’s ambitions are (Mattis, McMaster, Pence) but also people who are skeptical of some of our NATO/EU allies like Merkel etc...(Bannon)
Really proud of how our President has handled Syria. I have the sense that McMaster may have contributed at least SOME good insight in that regard.
Maybe Scaramucci will have similar status as Lewandowski, occasionally pop up on talk shows to boost the president’s agenda. Usually, once somebody gets a taste of fame or infamy, they want to keep the media party going longer.
Look at people like Newt. He never gets tired of putting on a suit and offering an opinion.
I had expected Laura Ingram to become a part of the admin., but I think Laura is being cautious. She already has a good base of publicity and influence. The administration may seem too unpredictable at the present moment. She may have said “Call me after the 2018 elections, then let’s see how I’d fit in.
A lot of professionals have seen how the president tends to criticize his own people in the press (Sessions, Preibus, Spicer, McMasters) and they decide to avoid this possible outcome. One of the few team members I have never heard the president openly criticize is Nikki Haley, UN Ambassador.
Nikki does not play games. She would probably just quit if he repeatedly went after her in the press. War on Women, anybody?
Haley is amazing in her role and Trump has nothing to criticize her for....but the UN is not the White House press corps. The UN at least retains the veneer of being civilized.
Though im sure Haley would handle herself just fine in the communications context too...
All the #NeverTrumpers are defending McMaster....
CNN is defending McMaster
George Soros Media Matters is defending McMaster.
Bill Kristol is defending McMaster
The ADL, NY Times and Washington Post are all defending McMaster.
Basically any group that hates President Trump and pushing for a coup are all defending McMaster.
Put 2 and 2 together Freepers.
Oh and that supposed statement from President Trump... does not even sound remotely like Him. Why would President Trump insert the Israel bit? That seemed very odd?
I call Bull $hit on it and until I actually hear President Trump say it or Tweet it. I will not believe it.
So in your view Bannon is still working for Cruz? LOL
If you could figure out how to include the Bilderburgers and Rothchilds in your grand hypothesis you would have a unified Trumpism Theory.
Give me a break.
Makes more sense than anything else I’ve read so far.
Was at WH yesterday, may return this afternoon.
McM secure. NOT a “coup conspirator.” Some regrets, but he came highly recommended by many conservatives inc. Sen Cotton, Victor Davis Hanson, & 50 others. FYI I recommended him as well based on his combat record & opposition to Zero. But he is a globalist & thinks like a general with “big power” approaches.
He has his views, many others in admin differ. So far he is generally outvoted. Pompeo one key alternative voice.
What I hear is that even with his globalist views he’s done some goid things, but needs to be watched.
I predict in coming weeks you’ll see the other views prevail on such issues as Afghanistan.
Yes, he was a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. Definitely a globalist, but is he a swamp creature?
H.R. McBilderberger is the bellwether of the deep state.
If he stays in the WH as NSA, then we know that Trump is in checkmate, and the deep state is in control.
Commie and probably moslem convert John Brennan also attended the Bilderberger meeting in Virginia last June. No doubt the two had very interesting private conversations in bug-proof settings, which is the main point of the Bilderberger meetings, to permit a venue for such high-level conspiring.
The participant list makes interesting reading.

Please see 69, and the link to the participant list.
Just look at the pattern they've developed.
Let’s face it....Scar was a mistake.
It appears that some dimwits know nothing of McMasters role in the biggest tank battle since WWII.
Oh, I know all about his military service. But he left that long ago. He’s a political general officer now. And obviously an arabist one to boot.
The long knives have not been put away. McMaster still has to go.
So why is McMaster firing the people he has
One guy went totally outside chain of command. You don’t do that.
I don’t think so. He spent 8 years fighting Obama.
Whenifhow wrote: "[Not a good development at all.] And McCabe is staying at the FBI too according to Webb."
In this mornings episode he states his court case next week was a set up by McCabe to put him behind bars and finish him off. (!!!!)
FWIW...a frequent contributor to George Webb's investigative video series, Lori Hammink posted a link to a cloud account with all the Awan court cases and background on the Day 288 Trial of the Century - Awans vs. A Webb:
