Salem's Lot didn't make the list?
I had to walk the dog in the middle of posting, and by the time I came back you had beaten me to it!
Both television adaptations of ‘Salem’s Lot were bad, IMHO.
There are 2 book passages that have made me physically shiver - both by Stephen King. This one, and the passage near the end of Pet Sematary where the little boy is telling Jud that he saw his wife in hell and tells him all her secrets.
Just outstanding!
