I’ve always loved the Eagles, but I know what you mean. I’ve always loathed Bruce Springsteen from the moment I first heard him. Some people think he’s God, but I just don’t see it.

I've never loved nor loathed the Eagles. I think they wrote catchy tunes. What turned me against them was a documentary where Henley and Frey both seemed to treat the "lesser" members of the band poorly. Indeed, they told the other guys through their attorney that Henley and Frey would take a disproportionate share of tour revenue. Don Felder said "no" and he was out of the band.
