I don't know about the rest of those on your list, but I do know Shelley Capito, have spoken to her personally several times.

West Virginia is still a Democrat state at heart....WV'ers love their unions, their disability checks, their Medicaid and their government cheese, and if the Democrats would retreat from attacking the energy industry this state would go back to the Dems in a nano second.

So don't expect a limited government conservative to win here.

OK, that's one to scratch off the list.

It doesn't change the point: we don't have a parliamentary system, so we have "big tent" parties instead. To get to a majority you have to accept the outliers but you need to demand absolute ideological purity from those who represent areas where you can get that.

Cornyn, and both senators from UT, just for example, have no excuse for their political positions, and we shouldn't excuse them.
