The raw CNN footage, minus commercials, when the start of the Gulf War ground war was announced. Part 1 of two parts for first tape of 23 Feb 1991. Part 2 is in the same playlist and shows President G.H.W. Bush announcing the start.
We were absolutely glued to the TV when this took place as we watched history unfold and what looked like a decisive action against wrong until the end came and we whimpered away.
Thanks for your effort.
Does this include the accidental cut to Wolf Blitzer madly trying to put on a gas mask and cursing on-air in the process?
I notice that someone downarrowed the video, which I can’t imagine unless they were against our going in to free Kuwait. So anyone who feels comfortable giving the video an uparrow, because we did the right thing, would be greatly appreciated.
I’ll keep my eye out as I’m skimming tapes. I’m going to edit more out as I go along.
I was sitting in Taif... finally it started... didn’t get home until July... fun, fun...
In looking up Taif (apologies that I didn’t know of it), I came across this wonderful page:

Ha! I was getting every other day weather reports for the TR-1/U-2’s flights... ‘tough’ duty...
It’s a 1-second error, as they cut to the wrong camera/set and then back.
