They must not has been too bothered by the accent, to wait over 50 years.
Did I read that correctly, that DVD will be doing a song and DANCE number in the next film?
If the director decides to leave the scene in the film, that is.

As long as he doesn’t trip over the ottoman he should be okay!

We saw DVD live at a fundraiser event about a year ago. He was singing and dancing like a man 1/3 his age– pretty amazing. And it was in a sweltering auditorium– the AC was overwhelmed.

He also had his 50-something trophy? wife with him.

She insisted on performing and was god-awfully atrocious.

He literally asked her to leave the stage. I wouldn’t have wanted to be in the car with them on the way home.

I don't think anyone over there was upset or seeking an apology. I think this was just a case of Dick Van Dyke poking a little fun at himself, nothing more.

He has a nightclub act and still dances well. He did a turn on one of the award shows around his 90th birthday.

Check out the You Tube video of him doing an impromptu “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” for a bunch of folks in a coffee shop a year or so ago. Magic.
