I believe ALF or PeTA did this very same thing a few years back, with a similarly disastrous result.

My wife’s grandfather had a mink farm in Idaho. Years back after he died the libs let the minks all go. They died. No mink can withstand the roadways and winters of northern Idaho.
Minks are predators. If they could make it in the wild that many would wreak havoc on the local wildlife.
This is not the first time these idiots released Mink into the wild.. It always ends up a disaster..

This was done in England in 1998. The minks killed ever little creature in sight, pets, birds, rabbits, everything.
They know the minks will die. That’s a good outcome to them.
I remember reading about animals ‘right” activists who turned some dogs loose near a highway (of course they died). Others of their kind remarked, “at least they died free.”
