My experience is that anyone walking alone gets short shrift from couples and groups. And people pushing strollers think they own everything from nearest building to the curb.
And all of us get short shrift, from all these people who have their noses buried in a cellular phone. These people aren’t even watching where they are going, as they have their eyes on the phone as they walk. Then it’s up to us to get out of their way, rather than collide with someone who is so engrossed in the happenings on their cellular phone.

Sometimes when these groups are approaching, I just stop and stand still, maybe directing my attention somewhere besides them, like a store window or ...
Works fine. They deflect. Now if they used NBA rules on charging and moving blocks, I would end up flat on the sidewalk, with the foul on me.
Yes. And it doesn’t have a thing to do with the color of anyone’s skin. I’m always dodging through groups who take up the whole sidewalk just strolling along.
What a pussy, I hope he never finds himself anywhere with a large Asian or Hispanic concentration.
