The New York Times is facing blowback on social media after publishing an essay by an African-American reporter who accused white women of racism for not ceding space on city sidewalks to black men.
In a Wednesday essay titled "Was That Racist," reporter Greg Howard singled out white women for forcing him "off the sidewalk completely" when walking towards him, not allowing a straight path.
"In seven years of living and walking here, I’ve found that most people walk courteously — but that white women, at least when I’m in their path, do not," Howard writes.

"When white women are in my path, they almost always continue straight, forcing me to one side without changing their course. This happens several times a day; and a couple of times a week, white women force me off the sidewalk completely. In these instances, when I’m standing in the street or in the dirt as a white woman strides past, broad-shouldered and blissful, I turn furious," Howard adds.

Sounds racist to me. He definitely has issues and should go to re-education camp to better solve his problem with White women.
White people existing is racist.
Does he expect white women to hold open doors for him, too?
Notice I said lady and not woman. There is a difference....
So, everyone should step aside and let him walk in a straight line, broad-shouldered and blissful, BECAUSE he’s BLACK???
Gee, wouldn’t a gentleman of any color step aside for a woman of any color?
My experience is that anyone walking alone gets short shrift from couples and groups. And people pushing strollers think they own everything from nearest building to the curb.
So this guy purposely gets in somebodies path, and then bitches about it cuz they don't yield to his blackness
so then get out the way ya dumb fuq!

All kinds of heck will erupt.
And all of us get short shrift, from all these people who have their noses buried in a cellular phone. These people aren’t even watching where they are going, as they have their eyes on the phone as they walk. Then it’s up to us to get out of their way, rather than collide with someone who is so engrossed in the happenings on their cellular phone.
All white employees of the NYT should resign, giving their jobs to minority women.
Given the size of the chip on his shoulder I’m surprised Greg Howard can see anyone walking toward him.
Some people just can’t accept strong women.
Anyone who has lived in NYC knows it’s not a black/white issue, it’s an entitled feminist/pajama boy issue most of the time . . .
