A former Nebraska teacher has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for having sex with a student on his 16th birthday.
Emily Lofing, 27, was charged with debauching a minor as the boy was 16 years old, the age of consent in Nebraska. Lofing did not contest the charge, WOWT reports.
The married former teacher was working in Weeping Water at the time of the offence. She is alleged to have met up with the teenager to have sex in July 2016.
Her lawyer, Desirae Solomon, claimed she had suffered a mental breakdown and pleaded with the judge to consider Lofings stress from work and family history of depression as contributing factors to her behaviour.
Ms Solomon said Lofing had been leading a double life and people who have known her for her whole entire life were shocked at this type of behaviour, KWBE reports.

She asked me, "What's a nymphomaniac?"
I told her, "A person with an insatiable desire for sex."
She looked at me and said, "Isn't everybody?"
That was an eye-opener for me. Life took on a whole new spectrum of colors and possibilities. All because a redhead.
I had a classmate who was a married mom. She and her
husband were friends with me and my girlfriend. On my
16th birthday my girl and I baby sat for the couple.
They left me a quart of vodka and some O.J.. My mission
was clear. Unfortunately, my girlfriend was enamored with
the baby and I drank enough screwdrivers to swear off
that particular cocktail for at least twenty years.
In some states she could get a real estate license in ~3 years and be her own boss, since it takes ~3 years to qualify for a RE license given the applicant has committed a misdemeanor of “moral turpitude” such as debauching a minor. Meanwhile plenty of jobs exist that probably don’t care about misdemeanors. She could work part time as a bottle girl at a night club (with makeup), or drywall construction or long haul trucking (no makeup). (My offhand guess is that 99.999% of women don’t like drywall construction and long haul trucking, lol.)
d at night school pretty much the same thing happened. I was such a dummy.

That describes teen boys in general (Including myself).
I went back home for Decoration Day and wandered around the cemetery for a bit. I found that many of my teachers died shortly after they taught me. I think they were just old but it has caused me to wonder though in those days the classes were very large, more than 30 was very common, so I don’t take it completely personally.
Not that it matters but not guilty in a librarian way.
Is the antonym of debauched, bauched?
What about discombobulated, is it combobulated?
The list just continues and leaves me confused.
Oh, I don’t know about all that. Somebody will take a chance maybe.
SCIENCE!
Are you related to Don Knots? Just think, you missed a golden opportunity to be debauched and scarred for life.
TWICE!!
That’s a weird shaped boob in the blue top.
Reminds me of that old joke:
The two old folks were about to have sex for the first time. They started getting undressed and granny said, “I have to tell you I have acute angina.”
Well I hope so said gramps, ‘cause those are the ugliest titties I’ve ever seen!!
Tip your waiters and waitresses!!!
This behavior has become so commonplace that threads about such stories no longer deserve sniggering comments or pings to Laz about hit-ability. I admit I enjoyed the sophomoric banter as much as anyone, but enough is enough. What has happened to the nation’s morals?
Ha, ha. Myself, I just don’t have the time to be a nympho. Thanks for the reply.
Somewhat of a close call, but being that she’s only 27, decent looking in the photos (other than the mug shot), and the kid deserves a real ‘present’ for making it to 16 years old in a public school. I have to declare: NOT GUILTY!!
Not guilty.
Freakin’ Janeane Garofalo without the tats.
Ugh!
I self identify as a horny sixteen year old, in need of sexual guidance, for the picture in post #7.
That's a disgusting post!!
You misspelled come.
That's just brilliant, your honor. That's like saying that someone who goes to a bar and has a drink on their 21st B-day was just 24 hours away from breaking the law. Duh!
What I don't get is how she was breaking the law if 16 is the age of consent in NB? Is it because she was his teacher?
That’s her husband not her “victim.”
Ha! I had a teacher who taught my father. And she was old when she taught him.
