Maintaining perfect time is essential when using two-factor authentication. I’ve had a few (few) instances when my web server was accurate but the local machine was off — always fixed w/ a reboot, although there may be another way, I haven’t bothered to find it.
My larger problem is keeping the server on time (VPS, so I don’t own it). I set a chron for daily time reset and that seems to work now, but sometimes I just have to reboot it. Can be a big pain.
Dimension 4 is what I use to maintain correct time to run WJST-X. It synchs every 15 minutes.
