Not really. I would imagine all of DC is being scanned continuously in a piecemeal fashion to create constantly updated base maps of local radiation densities. These base maps would be used to compare a real scan against in the event of an actual search for a nuclear device. Without the comparison to a base map the small signature of a shielded device might be mistaken for a natural radiation source but with the base map any changes (no matter how small) would stick out like a sore thumb.
