Basically. The public has no basis for dealing with a zombie apocalypse, like knowing that it takes a head shot to kill them or his see a herd munching on someone that you should run and grab a weapon

The spinoff I liked the best was Return of the Living Dead. I don't think Romero had anything to do with it other than the obvious inspiration. Unlike Night of the Living Dead it mixed in some quality 'dark' humor. I couldn't find the movie for viewing free online to post a link.
