Why should anyone pardon a pattern of “lie first, apologize later?” It’s an established practice at the Slimes. I say take ‘em for 100 mil, Sarah!!!
I could find a woman 20+ years my junior faster than it takes me to write this.
Heck they are easy to find. Its that next step or two that are a little trickier.

I remember this story from Catholic School (Yes Virginia, there used to be such a thing). A woman goes to confession and tells a priest about her gossiping. Priest severely scolds her. Priest gives her penance to take a pillow up on the roof and shake it until all the feathers are in the air. Then, she is to come back in a week.
Next week, she goes back and tells the priest that she did as told. Priest says now gather all the feathers and put them back in the pillow. Woman says that’s impossible. Priest says yes and when you gossip, you can never take it back.
NYT - you can never take it back.
Typical liberal response: “We are not responsible for our actions.” “We are CRY BABIES and should be protected from our irresponsibility.”
It was not a prompt OR full ‘correction’
It should have been a total retraction AND apology, and firing of the idiot who wrote it.
It’s been known forever that this was a BS story AT THE TIME.
