This Christian article really hit home to me. I've been guilty of posting hasty, angry screeds. Sometimes I do not listen attentively and have far too much to say. Hope others find this Biblical message helpful.

This is excellent, thanks for posting it.
And thanks for my new tagline.

What are you peeved at? Christians giving their personal opinions or quoting Scripture as absolute authority for their views?
In some circles, “Hey, Jesus loves you!” is considered offensive - even by some professing “Christians”.

Quite possibly the best post I’ve read on Free Republic. Thank you! As a Catholic, this has been one of my top issues for years in the confessional and it’s proof also that Confession actually works, as although I’m no saint, I’ve dropped off of several commentary sites to date.
Again, great article!

I know I have posted much that I deserve judgment for, but my tagline has kept me from posting literally hundreds of messages that I desperately wanted to, God be praised.

How Should Christians Comment Online? When moved to comment, comment as moved. There is no point in having faith and not acted upon It.

Brilliantly written article--thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Forty years ago when I was a new Christian an assistant pastor gave a half-hour presentation on Ephesians 4:29, which has tempered my online (and offline) conversation ever since. I was looking for and glad to find it in the article.
I'm reminded of Lincoln's angry letter to one of his errant Civil War generals: after writing it he put it in a drawer for a couple of days while he cooled off. Ultimately, he tore it up.
Finally, in our future eternal home this won't be such a problem!
