In some circles, “Hey, Jesus loves you!” is considered offensive - even by some professing “Christians”.

Well, only in the sense that the person you are describing is me. I’m ALWAYS doing that. And I don’t apologize for it.

But I have come to realize that I have been very quick to raise the loudness of the debate. So, if I am “peeved” it is is with myself. No one else. I’m working on it.
