May I share some of his sweet thoughts? From another source on 07/05/2017....

On this date 31 years ago — July 5, 1986, my dear fiance Estelle and I bought her engagement ring and formally announced our engagement to our family and friends. However, we had already decided to get married more than a month earlier.

We had met Wednesday, April 30, 1986 and had our first date the following Saturday. More dates followed during the week. Then on May 11, 1986, 11 days after our first meeting, we decided to get married, which we eventually did on January 1, 1987.

I guess brain cancer is like accelerated dementia. She no longer recognizes me. I love her so much.

And then today........

My wife passed away yesterday. I was by her side.

God Bless Evening Star.

My father-in-law died of brain cancer on Good Friday that year long ago. The Christmas before he told me via phone that he was sick and didn't know why. It was all I could do to not break down and cry while talking to him. His speech was affected by it as well as his temperment (he was normally a very gentle man).

Others who used to post here have had that disease. It's what being a FReeper is all about - the friendships we cultivate with those with whom we identify. One of my closest friends was Crabby. We talked on the phone and I miss her dearly.

Prayers up for Evening Star and his family.
