Plattsburg NY
Tickets back then for Zep 1977 were Mail Order, With Bank Check or Money Order limit 4 per order, include an envelope for Tickets, or returned check. as Ticketmaster & Box had proved to be a nightmare in 1975.
I lived in NW Ohio at the time. My friends and put in orders for Cleveland, Cincy, Detroit, & Chicago and got nothing but our checks returned to us.
I did see Page/Plant and Jimmy 6 times
Chasing Subs. in South China Sea. TAD to VP-4 as 3P monitoring Russian cargo ships carrying missiles to Viet Nam. Assigned VRC 50 COD pilot otherwise.
No, I would not have thought it would be.
We didn't even leave the base - we had a long ASW mission going in, handed the contact off to an S-3 from some carrier or another, and then we picked it up again early the next morning, tracked him all day then handed it off again and went back to Dodge.
...and that it was our fault.
cram your malaise up your A$$, peanut man...
Ah, the olden days from thirteen years before I was born!
Pretty car, eh?
5 speeds forward, IIRC.
Crikey! **1967 Porsche 911 S Coupe 307588S sold for $253,000**; I sold mine to Wayne Carini for $4K, when I came back from overseas. It was undriveable in the snow, even w/ studs; kept it on blocks in a barn in winter. Car was great fun. Gardes Red said to the cops...*HEY! Look at me** I was always being pulled over. LOL
Great fun with the PCA and long drives to Lime Rock. Ahhhh, misspent youth. {{{sigh}}
I was Bravo Co., 8th Engineers, 1st Cav.
Posted there out of AIT and stayed in the same platoon for 3 1/2 years 'til I ETSed.
I was prior service Navy and, when I came back in the service, it was into the Army. Didn’t have to go back through Basic and Charlie Company was an OJT-AIT unit. Everyone was prior-service .. one service or another .. and we received our 11B MOS at the end of the training. I stayed in Charlie Company, 2/12, until I made E-5 (three years) and then changed my MOS to become a court reporter/stenographer. I did that for 17 years and retired as an E-7. Spent all of my Army time .. except for three one-year tours to Korea and one three-year tour to Mannheim, Germany .. at Fort Hood .. 15 years.
wow 1977. I graduated HS in ‘76, moved to NYC ostensibly to continue dancing and be a ballerina. By ‘77 I had quit ballet, got a waitressing job, and went to art school for a while. NYC was so different then. I loved it much of the time.
So, you may recall Oprah saying to Frank Perdue that people said that he looked like a chicken. Then Frank turned around and said that people thought Oprah looked like a baboon. Ah, Good ole Baltimore....
Sitting in the RoK waiting for war to break out - AKA Tree Day War.

Been there, heard about you guys ... heard an interesting tale when there about IFF
Supposedly an Iranian P-3 training flight was cut short because of IFF
(In Flight Fight, Pilot vs Co-Pilot, Instructor/Observer had to bring it home)
;^)
I turned 18, graduated from High school, started college, met my future husband, got my first job, bought my first car, and enjoyed my first year of adulthood!
Oh really?
Luke, Leah, Obi-wan, and some others hit the silver screen.
As a Trekkie, I was never a Star Wars fan.
Overall, 1977 was a lackluster year that really didn’t offer anything. Van Halen was recording their first album but it didn’t hit the market until Feb ‘78.
