That would be wrong.
Does the 134 intersect with the MLK Blvd. ?
Naming a road, building, ship, etc. after a living person is the stuff of a banana republic. It has no place in a democracy.
Should be called the Ventura “High”way
Only left turns allowed.
Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood would be a more fitting street for Obama
Now I have a place to dump my holding tank...
Name a homo rest stop for him.
Next, it will become a toll road... ;)
Why abbreviate his middle name? How Islamaphobic!
Hussein! Hussein! Hussein!
How about Barry and Mooch expressway?
Many times legislators have passed bills for whatever political reason to “honor” people. Later, cooler heads prevail and the names are removed. After JFK was assassinated I thought everything in the country would be renamed in his honor. Even though I was a Kennedy fan at the time I was dismayed when they renamed Cape Canaveral as Kennedy Space Center. Then there was Cynthia McKinney Parkway. If I recall, she was the embarrassing Congresswoman who, among other things, assaulted a Congressional guard. (Couldn’t quickly determine if that was actually changed, but people in Georgia are still mad about it.)
As history gains a sharper image of who and what Obama really was more and more of his grimy fingerprints will be removed from the land. There may be a few streets bearing his name in places that benefited from the free phones and other bribes, but in fifty years the name will be a synonym for charlatan.
Three places that will benefit Obama’s legacy: 1) the landfill , 2) the sewage treatment plant or 3) a gay nightclub (bonus if BLM people frequent).
It’d be a pity if a certain set of society decided that they like those signs so much that they want one to put on the wall in their house. They’d have a problem keeping the signs up. Such a shame that would be.
