Miami has the Don Shula expressway. (Famed football coach). Radio broadcasts refer to it every day. Don Shula should be worried.

Many times legislators have passed bills for whatever political reason to “honor” people. Later, cooler heads prevail and the names are removed. After JFK was assassinated I thought everything in the country would be renamed in his honor. Even though I was a Kennedy fan at the time I was dismayed when they renamed Cape Canaveral as Kennedy Space Center. Then there was Cynthia McKinney Parkway. If I recall, she was the embarrassing Congresswoman who, among other things, assaulted a Congressional guard. (Couldn’t quickly determine if that was actually changed, but people in Georgia are still mad about it.)

As history gains a sharper image of who and what Obama really was more and more of his grimy fingerprints will be removed from the land. There may be a few streets bearing his name in places that benefited from the free phones and other bribes, but in fifty years the name will be a synonym for charlatan.

Three places that will benefit Obama’s legacy: 1) the landfill , 2) the sewage treatment plant or 3) a gay nightclub (bonus if BLM people frequent).

It’d be a pity if a certain set of society decided that they like those signs so much that they want one to put on the wall in their house. They’d have a problem keeping the signs up. Such a shame that would be.

I would agree with this move if the only exit were to a Fed SuperMax prison.

.
I know it by its number, 134,because that is what is on the signs that I am looking for on my way to Arizona, usually, depending on which vehicle we are in.

If we have the big gas tank, we’re on 134, and if we have the small tank we fork off on 118 to get to the Pacoima Costco for gas.

Who would want to be on the Obunga freeway?

> We are a representative Republic. <

Of course. But in the modern sense, the word “democracy” usually means a representative republic form of government. Writers say that the US is a democracy. Presidents say that the US is a democracy. Those folks aren’t all stupid. They are using the modern sense of the word.

From the Merriam-Webster dictionary’s definition of “democracy”. Kindly note definition 1b.

1a : government by the people; especially : rule of the majority

1b : a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections

Nonsense!

There is really no such thing as a “democratic republic.”

Democracies and republics are polar opposites.

Misstating the nature of our republic is done deliberately in most cases, to condition people to accept it when a strongman style president, like Obummer tried to be, arbitrarily governs as though it were under the tyranny of democratic election.

Our job is to strenuously resist such tactics.
